For the first time since Hollywood gave stardom and world-wide fame to Errol Flynn, the Irish actor and his family are to have a reunion.
It will take place here, revealed Flynn today, with the arrival of his mother and his sister, Rosemary, in about two weeks. The star’s father, Theodore Thompson Flynn, who is dean of the faculty of science at Queen’s University in Belfast, alsi is expected on the coast after a brief stay in New York.
According to the actor, it has been more than three years since he has seen his parents.
Asked if his 19-year-old sister might also seek a film career, Flynn laughed and shook his head.
“She’s the clever one in the family”, he explained, “she’s studying medicine.”
But what if some studio offer’s her a test? The star was then asked.
“In that case”, said Flynn, “I’ll probably handle the deal.”
This visit will be the first time any of the star’s family has been inside a motion picture studio. They’ll have an opportunity to watch Flynn work before the camera with Bette Davis in Elizabeth and Essex.

OK since when did Flynn have a sister named Rosemary, and what happened to her, or am I just three sheets behind the wind on this? Gosh. Don’t recall reading about her before??????

Born: December 2, 1919
In 1947 Rosemary married Charles Warner a staff officer in the United States Air Force. Theo Flynn retired in 1948 and went to Jamaica to manage Errol’s Estate near Port Antonio. Theo both enjoyed sailing on Errol’s yacht Zaca but Marelle was never comfortable too far away from London and Paris. She was fond of Europe and spent a great deal of time in France with daughter rosemary, leaving Errol at a tender age and his father to fend for themselves. She would regularly return to Europe from Jamaica when particularly when Rosemary lived in Germany – armed forces. Most of her family suffered with heart disease and Marelle had a heart attack in 1950. She rebuilt relationship with her family and spent Christmas with her sister in Florida in 1950. She was an inveterate traveller particularly enjoying driving herself through Europe and in 1951 her motoring resulted in a serious accident and Charles Warner laid on the resources of the Air Force to fly his mother-in-law to hospital.

Oh, that’s his sister! All this time I thought that was his mom, and I was thinking “Damn! Flynn’s mom was pretty young looking for her age!”.
