    I just saw your name on top and did not look further because I played the song immediately.
    What is hack? I looked it up but it did not make sense – it says – cut, chop, slash, hew, slice.

    Hello, Robert. I am interested in learning more about Errol Flynn. This is actually my first time being subscribed to a blog. There is something interesting I noticed. In looking at your picture, did anyone ever tell you you resemble the great Mr. Flynn?

    I was actually talking about a picture showing your backside. I have no idea what you look like from the front! Anyway, I heard you are quite the Flynn Fan. How should I become familiar with his works? Can you give me an educated chronology of films I should start watching?

    So was I.
    I'm not that much of a fan, but I can suggest a chronological crash course that no one here dare contradict:
    1) Captain Blood (1935–His first starring role)
    2) The Charge Of The Light Brigade (1936–His second starring role and an amazing improvement on his acting. Could be the mustache)
    3) The Adventures Of Robin Hood (1938–With the exception of Kevin Costner's unrivaled portrayal of the character, the best Robin Hood yet)
    4) The Dawn Patrol (1938–An all-male cast and Fred Radzik's favorite Flynn film. Coincidence?)
    5) Dodge City (1939–Color, cowboys, cattle, and color. What more could one need to recommend it?)
    6) The Sea Hawk (1940–No cattle, except for Flora Robson maybe, but a great Korngold score and lots of waving about with swords)
    7) They Died With Their Boots On (1941–A superb, historically accurate in every detail reading of the life of Custer, minus the boring boyhood years. The final battle has the best action ever filmed until possibly That Forsyte Woman)
    8) Gentleman Jim (1942–Flynn plays the great boxer, Jim Corbett, and displays his own pugilistic abilities, having boxed and won gold for Australia in the 1928 Olympics)
    9) Objective, Burma! (1945–His best war film, with one of his few crying scenes. But don't let that turn you off; he rallies himself and wins the day despite no help from the Brits)
    10) Adventures Of Don Juan (1948–Flynn's last good film, regardless of arguments for The Big Boodle. It's sad to watch., knowing he's really playing himself and his fading life. But in spite of the earring, he manages another masculine victory of right over might, even if doesn't end up getting the girl. Could be that earring)
    We all here look forward to your thoughts after viewing these selections.
    P.S. You don't have to watch them all in one sitting.

    Thanks Robert. Is this true?: Errol Flynn loved to sail aboard his yacht. An admiring fan once got herself invited aboard and Errol showed her the view from below the deck. The fan's husband angrily boated out to the yacht and demanded his spouse.
    “The wife dove off Errol's yacht and started to swim to her mate's boat. Before she made it hubby sailed off. So did Errol.”

    Hello Blitz, good to have you here. This is a great place to learn about Errol. Where are you from, your name sounds German but this word does not exist in German actually? How did you make it up?
