Here is a nice poster from Huntington Hartford’s production of The Master of Thornfield, and below an audio recording made with Errol by Tony Thomas who interviews him in the basement of another theatre for the Huntington Hartford produced Jane Eyre … the usual recording length is 24.56 but the version I found years ago is some eight minutes longer.

Thanks for posting this. I have always wanted to hear more of those interviews. Thanks again. It is just so rare to have interviews from those years for him or any other star.

I really like hearing Nora, I hear an echo of what my mother said about my father. Errol Leslie Flynn was so much more than just tights and and sword! I’m glad we have Rory and Deirdre, and I hope so much more from Sean Rio and Luke! Errol filled his cup to the brim and poured it out at 50. My dad filled it twice I think and at 81 his half a heart gave out finally. Even his own daughters thought he would never make it out of his 50’s.

Bless your heart, TimeRider! It sounds like you had a wonderful father. We hear David Niven’s full comment about Flynn rather than that Errol “always let you down” that is so often quoted. I received a letter from Niven saying that Higham was a bastard, so you know how Niv felt about Errol!
