He looks… as if someone shaved him??? Does anybody know?

    Don’t know if Arno had just come back from the groomers’, but what a great shot of Errol and Lili. Thank you Inga for posting it.–A. R.

      Thank you, A.R.! Your idea is a possiblity, but would Errol have his dog grromed like that? The head and feet still have their normal appearance. I’m sorry the photo is so small, but all in all, it is really odd…

        To tell the truth, it is hard to see Arno. But I know I have seen this photo before or one similar. Is it from 1935 or later? –A. R.

          I don’t know from when, my guess would be around 38. Thank you, Robert, it’s strange though, this is the first time I saw Arno like that. Poor one.

    A perfectly common and typical way of grooming a dog for the summer months. I’ve never been partial to it but many are.

    I wonder how Arno felt about being so close to Damita? I recently bought a great portrait photo of Arno – a close-up! It’s a great little shot of the little fella on his own taking centre-stage.

      This must be a really rare shot, as I recently found an article where Errol says that Arno hates to be photographed. It included one shot of Arno taken by Errol himself. Which made me wonder what happened to all of Errol’s personal photographs… I hope they’re still with the family and not lost.
