I have been digging into old magazines and newspapers. I need someone that probably dud the same or saw letters etc. to answer my question.
I read that Errol donated more than half the Christmas party for Nazarene home for boys and that he left Mulholland to them every summer.
Also, that he chartered the Sirocco to Red Cross and that he gave income from it to refugees children.
Anyone with more info??
I also realized that he was very generous but he didnt want it known. He did a lot of charity in Jamaica as well.

Though I don’t have any specifics to give you regarding the Nazareth Home for Boys, nor the chartering of the Sirocco by or for the Red Cross, but it does sound like Flynn to me to quietly do so. On regular occasions, Hollywood stars and studios used to put on benefit nights at top night clubs for both the Nazareth Home for Boys, and Boys Town in Nebraska.
In addition to other Red Cross campaigns, examples of other charitable organizations Errol may well have contributed to during his Hollywood heydays include: the National Infantile Paralysis Fund; the League for Crippled Children; the Home for the Aged; the Hollywood Studio Club; the Hollywood Guild; the Assistance League; the Children’s Hospital; the Hollywood Canteen; British War Relief; the USO; numerous American War Bond Drives; Mount Sinai Hospital, and the March of Dimes. Also, he likely contributed to, but did not advertise or brag about, Hollywood committees which donated to refugee organizations in Spain, Finland, and Holland, et al.
Included in this photo of the Nazareth Home for Boys may be some boys who benefited from Errol’s generosity, and maybe even got to spend some time of the Farm (Mulholland Farm, that is, not the State Farm!)

Thank you. Yes it seems something he would do.
I heard that he visited wounded soldiers..do you know the occasion? Most of what he did to help WW2 is just not touched a lot. Or his charities. Sad. I know he went to visit children hospitals on his own idea not pushed by studio.

Here is with Eleanor Roosevelt on January 25, 1939, at an infantile paralysis charity horse show in Conmy Hall at Fort Myer in Virginia, just west of Arlington National Cemetery. . I think Ellie had a crush on Errol. The horse Errol rode, Badger, belonged to John Roosevelt, the President’s and First Lady’s son.

Errol also helped out at “The Hospital of the New York Society for the Relief of the Ruptured and Crippled”, which in 1940 changed its name to the Hospital for Special Surgery, to this day a premier medical facility.
