Don’t laugh, but the second image looks like the original logo of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I believe it was intended to look like Flynn, but I’ve no idea about the other two images.

correctamundo, barb! That is a faux version of Tampa Bay’s former Bucco Bruce, humorously featuring Tom Brady. The original Bucco Bruce was based predominantly on Errol, with an admixture of John LaFitte, and D’Artigan.

Tim; The MGM ship “The Bounty” was destroyed by bad weather. I was lucky to have boarded her once. As to your question? I’m stumped.

Very cool you boarded the MGM HMS Bounty, Ralph! Relatively few outside of St. Petersburg ever did. Because I have family there, and because of its preeminent baseball soring training history, l have seen the Bounty many times over the years. I remember when it first arrived as a tourist attraction (when I took a tour of it) and I saw it a year or so before Hurricane Sandy sunk it off of the North Carolina coast. Based on what I saw, the HMS Bounty was far more of a museum than a ship capable of sailing the high seas. Thus, I was absolutely stunned when I heard it was out at sea during Sandy. Mr. Christian would have mutinied before executing such a horrendously reckless decision…

Making the story even more interesting, especially for us here on the EFB, is that docked next to the MGM Bounty for many years at the famous St. Pete Pier was what was purported to be Errol’s yacht, the Tonga – which also was sunk in a hurricane (in St. Petersburg during Hurricane Elena.

Zorro John Carroll, who lived (and died) in St.Pete, also once owned the Tonga.
