    Penned by Hedda Hopper’s arch rival and yet giving a shout out to Hedda’s ex- husband (William) De Wolf Hopper for his part(s) in the Don Juan legacy…

    Here’s a wild thought… imagine the scions of all THREE DJs (as Fairbanks Sr. was not included, I won’t mention Jr. for the cast) in a sequel called something like The Adventures of the Sons of Don Juan staring Sean Flynn, John Barrymore Jr., and (William) De Wolf Hopper Jr…

    (William) De Wolf Hopper Jr.?

    “Irrelevent, incompetent, and Immaterial” you might state in a most “Mason”Ian declaration…

    “Overuled!”, comes the judgement.

    It’s in fact William Hopper (aka: Paul Drake)!

      I wonder if Louella was objectively tributing Hedda’s ancient ex-hubbie, DeWolf, or just being catty about his heyday going back to the days of “flickers”? After all, the two of them were well known to have struck out, matrimonially speaking, with Hedda hauling her little Paul Drake out of Manhattan to Hollywood.

      Speaking of string out, this is what DeWolf is most famous
      for:
