    Tim, thank you for your kind mention of my first directing effort I made many years ago. I was fortunate to know the last owner of Errol Flynn’s Mulholland Farm and he allowed me to shoot some pick-ups on Errol’s former estate. You can see them on the opening and ending of the movie. I was the only filmmaker to shoot on that property. I have received many wonderful reviews from a lot of people from all over the United States and many countries in Europe.

    I used ‘Objective Bruma and A Walk in the Sun as the idea for FORGOTTEN HEROES and a little of ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ thrown in. I put a lot of Errol Flynn in my film and only real Flynn fans can pick them out.

    I had met Deirdre in the summer of 88 and I hired her to work on my film that Sept/Oct of 1988. She was the wardrobe mistress on my film.

    I am posting a review by a fellow filmmaker an fellow Errol Flynn aficionado.

    I am watching FORGOTTEN HEROES tonight and am reminded of what a beautiful, heartfelt film it is. You’ve seen it so many times it’s impact may be lost on you. It’s truly a great film, beautifully shot. And I loved the nods to Errol, particularly the incredible scene where the surfer has been tortured and asks the Greek to kill him. It reminded me of the great scene in Objective Burma – but you took it further and the emotional impact was profound.

    I have made over 35 movies in my career. I have always wanted to make a film that would affect people lives in a profound and positive way. I haven’t yet done so. I’ve often said I’d give up my career if I could make one film like that. You did it right out of the gate.

    I am and continue to be in awe of your passion and envious of your talent.

      Thank YOU, Jack. You deserve the highest praise for creating such a heroically important and well done film. As Steve Latshaw so perfectly wrote, its “beautiful and heartfelt”, “profound and positive”.

      With historic filming at Mulholland Farm, and brilliant allusions to Flynn films, too!! Flynntastic, Jack!!!
