Great, David!! I’m just thinking aloud, but I can’t remember this radio show? It must be lost? Also, the colours look a bit artificial – is it hand coloured?

It looks colorized the way they did some of the old black and white movies at one time – the giveaway is the curtain behind them! This photo was captioned “Errol Flynn Robin Hood Radio Show Candid” but actually it is from the Lux Radio Theatre, January 31, 1938 radio show of GREEN LIGHT, on CBS net featuring Olivia de Havilland, Errol, and C.Aubrey Smith. Cecil B. DeMille is pictured here, too.

Errol and Olivia just completed shooting Robin Hood two weeks before and went on vacation- he to New York, and she to Palm Springs. Errol has bought the 75’ Sirocco and plans a trip sometime in March (after the finish of Four’s A Crowd?) down to the Carribean through the West Indies.

Thanks for the background info on this photo, David. I think it’s great that, even though Olivia wasn’t in the film Green Light, she was chosen to do the radio version alongside Errol. :-)

That’s what I like about Old Time Radio, they mixed up the cast sometimes so you can listen to original casts or to someone playing a role that another actor did in the film – this is how two recording will have different actors playing the lead in Casablanca. Bogart in one, Edward G. Robinson in another! So if you think you have heard all of Olivia’s performances with Errol WRONG! here is another one!
