that they belong to another world,” Errol Flynn declared to
the “Gleaner” waterfront reporter yesterday forenoon in an
exclusive interview on board his yacht Zaca. The movie star
said he knew this statement would not be well received, but
that he did not mind it.

This 1947 interview with Errol Flynn is fascinating.
Also interesting are the titles for two proposed films “The Forty-Niners” and “The Frontiersman”. My guess is that these films were not proposed by his studio Warner Bros. but Flynn himself probably for his production company.
Jamaica became an independent nation three years after Flynn’s death in 1962. Anyone who has visited the island can see that nothing has changed except that there are even more millions of Jamaicans living below the poverty line.

So coool to see a newspaper from the year of my birth!
It is interesting to note that Errol’s grandson Luke has that same attitude to help the poor of Jamaica and maybe help build schools..Edu…cation, Errol said, is the important thing.
