      :-) I cannot really prove the opposite, so if you say so and have certain clues… for example a description of the scene in question…

      The perfect spacemen is a great film . It was caned but I just love the banter in the film. And I have always loved Joan Blondell. Errol was not given enough praise for his comedy’s Genene. This is a film I have found in Australia they not shown in 20 years where I live anyway. May be they have shown it on pay TV I don’t have it. Genene.

        It’s a great film, I agree, Genene. I love EF’s comedies in general. I haven’t quite decided yet whether I like Joan Blondell or not. She has something about her which irritates me a bit, but it’s not that I dislike her either…

      Thanks to all of you for guessing, good to know you’re still out there! It would be great if we could start that quiz question thing again… don’t you think?

    I think it may be the perfect specimen. I cannot say about Hello God as I have never seen it. And Errol said it was so bad that he destroyed every copy. But it seems not. Genene

    Okay here goes my guess. From the look of the picture, this is the early Errol, pre-1936 because from then on, in almost every film, he is wearing his signature mustache. So I am going to guess “Murder at Monte Carlo”. (My second guess is “The Perfect Specimen” which I only saw the once, but I seem to remember that Flynn and Blondell had good chemistry.)–A. R.

      Hi A.R., I would be a genius if I had seen “Murder at Monte Carlo”… ;-) by the way, there are quite some films with EF without his mustache, even though they were mostly later films. But Prince and Pauper would be an early example, too. Thanks for guessing!! You could also be up for a nice question, I think!

        Hi, Inga! I did say “almost”! Even in “Another Dawn”, a picture I have never seen all the way through, he wears a mustache. (At least from what I can tell from the pictures in my copy of the “Films of Errol Flynn”.)
        A question? Well while I am not the Flynn expert you are here is one. After a friend of my wife read my article on the “Forgotten Films of Sean Flynn, son of Errol Flynn’ she told me she knew someone who is related to Errol Flynn’s lawyer. Can you name him? (Of course you probably can! A clue I don’t mean Geisler.)–A. R.

          Dear A.R., could you post this as a new quiz challenge in an extra article? As far as I recall, you are an author here? The question is tricky because I don’t know whom the friend of your wife knows… this “someone” who is related to Flynn’s lawyer, is it a celebrity? I’m not sure into which direction to think at the moment…

            Hi, Inga! The friend isn’t a celebrity other than she is the daughter’ of Flynn’s attorney. Okay, I will set this up as an article. (Unless you already had someone in mind, maybe?)–A. R.

      I think that Thomas is right!

      By the way “Another Dawn” is probably my least favorite Warner picture starring Errol Flynn. In fact it really isn’t a Flynn picture but a Kay Francis movie.

      Kay Francis wears one elegant gown after another in this film. Even so Francis was a great screen star and I reccomend the biography on her life “I Can’t Wait To Be Forgotten” for great reading!

      Tom is right. Congratulations! I guess it’s your turn to post the next quiz question then.

      Ralph, did Kay say anything in her bio about working with EF in that movie? I admit it’s not my favourite either, but I found it so funny to see that photo on the table and thought it might make a nice question. I would say it’s also more of an Ian Hunter movie, too. Flynn does not have much more than a supporting role. And he’s grinning a lot, that’s so cute…

      You might try ioffer.com… and ask if one of the sellers had it in DVD?

    Inga;

    The book on Kay Francis was based on her personal diaries.

    Surprisingly she barely mentioned Errol Flynn except that she enjoyed working with him. Miss Francis was otherwise very explicit in her diaries about the many men and even a few women she slept with.
