I had mentioned to Inga that a friend of mine knew the daughter of Errol’s lawyer. I googled him and yes he was a very important lawyer in Flynn’s life. Here’s the question and a clue. He was with Flynn from the beginning and with Flynn even after the end. Name that lawyer. (One other clue that I already mentioned to Inga: It is not Geisler.) No those are not his initials. I may be wrong about him being with Flynn from the beginning. I seem to remember reading somewhere about him representing Errol and thinking to myself that he must have been with Errol even before I thought he was. But he is best known for representing Flynn in later life, especially after the end. He was also one of Errol’s pall bearers. I won’t give you his initials yet as that would make it too easy. But the above clue should narrow it down. –A. R.

Surprises me Marvin Belli is not who you are thinking of but you do say “from the beginning” – I know Belli was involved in taking care of Beverly Aadland in San Francisco soon after Errol passed away in Vancouver, BC – are you referring to a lawyer with the initials RF?

Yes Inga, you are close, but his name was Justin Golenbock. Sorry about that part about him with Flynn from the beginning, but as I stated above I seemed to remember seeing his name associated with Flynn and remember thinking that he was with Flynn from early on. When I tried to find where I saw that item I could not find it. It could have been some misinformation on Wikipedia that has been removed. Any way he was definitely with Flynn after the end as he was co-executor with Patrice Wymore of Errol’s final and only recognized will. And according to information on this blog, he was one of Errol’s pallbearers.–A. R.

It just goes to show one how the world of Flynn effects us. A friend of mine (actually one of my wife’s oldest friends) reads my article about “The Forgotten Films of Sean Flynn, son of Errol Flynn” and tells me she knew the daughter of Errol Flynn’s attorney.(I believe she said daughter; any way some one related to him.) I googled him and found out that not only was he one of Flynn’s attorneys, but was also involved in the lawsuits contesting Flynn’s last will.

Also I did see his name listed as Justin (Jud) Golenbock, so Jud must have been a nick name. He is also listed as Justin M. Golenbock. So happy holidays to one and all.–A. R.
