Excellent! Great listing of Errol’s Northhampton performances, along with fun background info on his “audition”, first role there, and cricket skills!! Thanks!!!

Also enjoyed learning where the Sunset Boulevard was filmed. Could never find that place!

Errol again at Cricket, this time apparently with the Hollywood Cricket Club on July 4, 1936.

Tim! I have been to this spot many times when I lived in Washington State. My parents took my brother Bob and I up to Stanley Park often and we went out to this part of the park several times. A few years ago, I went up the part to look for this place and found it. The building behind them was still there. Behind them out of view is an opening in the building that you can walk through to the grounds behind them. I also visited 1310 Burnaby St. to find the apartment building where Errol suffered his heart attack, and it, too, still exists. It is surrounded by tall buildings now, but still is occupied. I added some photos to the blog. Use the search feature to find them. The hotel is about 3 streets up from the beach, and about a mile from the Silvia Hotel where Errol stayed when he was with the Hollywood Cricket Club. You can bet Flynn walked the beach in front of the Silvia Hotel at the time …

Just seeing this for the first time, David! Thanks! I apologize for not replying earlier!!

How fascinating! I have to try and see all this!! I love the Northwest. (Curiously, just as I arrived here – looking to read Tina’s new post – a show came on my cable with a segment about Roy Olmstead’s Roaring Twenties’ bootlegging operations in the waters around Seattle & Vancouver.)

Who would have thought! The beginning and the end!
Errol on July 4th, 1936 in Vancouver at the very, very beginning of his stardom that he will end up in the same town to pass away. Kind of uncanny!?!
