I was never much of a chess player, to hyper-active. LOL!
My cousins George with Ron Flynn Young were the chess geniuses. You must have patience and sit still to long! LOL!
It would seem that Errol played on the fly so to speak. He had the ability of strategy and a quick mind while on the go!

It is a game of patience, to be sure! I am watching a series called Endgame that is about a world class chess champion who cannot leave his hotel because of a traumatic event in his life and he goes around in his robe often and usually in bare feet. He solves crimes without leaving the hotel and much as the management would like him to!

I was just wondering if this could possibly be just publicity cooked up by the studio to make Errol appear to be more than just “dashing” and to publicize Errol’s next picture which was to be “The Adventures of Robin Hood”?

While it is definitely possible that this item may be true, I am just saying, wasn’t he more the outdoors, physically active type? But,then again this just may have been a way he stayed in contact with a friend from his birth place?–A.R.
