If you would like to see Errol Flynn’s grandson Sean Flynn on stage live in his first play, go see RUMORS, in Santa Monica, California for the next three weeks. I have seen a clip from it taken by Rory Flynn on opening night. Sean is so natural on stage, and does a great job!

Hey David, the Ruby Theatre is in Hollywood, not Santa Monica. (It’s on Santa Monica Blvd. near Cahuenga) It’s actually a nice little theater with very reasonable prices. I saw Timothy Dalton attending a play there years ago. I watched the preview for Rumors and have to say Sean Flynn looks pretty good. He reminds me of James Franco.

My fiancee and I decided to see “Rumors” tonight and I’m happy to report that it’s not only funny (it IS Neil Simon, after all) but that Sean Flynn is a genuine stand-out. He has his own style and energy and seems very comfortable with comedy. Tickets are 15 dollars and we found parking on Cahuenga.(though there is a Valet, if you prefer) I’d be remiss if I also didn’t mention the actress Cathy Carlson, another standout. Did you go back stage to shake Sean’s hand? It’s something of a tradition in most ttheaters to go meet the actors and tell them how much you enjoyed them!

I think Sean is testing the waters to see how he likes being on stage. It’s his first play. I think he is enjoying himself. It could lead to his doing a lot of stage work in his career. And casting agents do look at these shows!

Saw Sean’s show on Saturday! He’s superb!! Great talent & stage presence – very handsome and humorous, too! No doubt he can be a star on stage or screen!! Absolutely astonishing this is his first play.
I was very fortunate, also, to meet Sean. What a terrific young man he is – very humble, grateful, and personable. I told him how proud we at the EFB are of him, and relayed our best wishes for his continued success. He said thank you and seemed well aware of the Blog, and especially David, who’s so good to his Mom.
I predict Sean is headed for even bigger things. He’s got what it takes.
