More than fifty years after Castro put the kibosh on (Mafia) mob operations in Cuba, the sun is now rising on The Capri and Salon Rojo, two of Errol’s old Habana haunts.

      This gives a very good quick look of how sleek & modern the Capri was.when Errol was there.

      Anyone know if the Capri is included in any of Errol’s Cuban-based films, such as Cuban Rebel Girls and/or Cuban Story. With George Raft fronting the place and it being the place to be in Havana, it’s a good bet. I believe it was used by Carol Reed in a scene or two of Man in Havana. .. Here’s some cool footage:

        Flynn is seen gambling at the Capri, I think, in Cuban Story, with Beverly Aadland. And he was losing.

          Hopefully it won’t be long before we can all go down to Havana – maybe even toast Errol from one or more of his favorite spots! Cuba libre!

            Yes! My friend Dennis Mullen has an In Search of Errol Flynn Tour he does to Havana. Takes you round to the filming locations of his films, and hangouts. Dennis is Canadian and has regularly taken Americans to Havana for years for his Havana Writer’s Retreats, and they always stay at the Cuba Libre! He also has a personally guided tour of Port Antonio, and environs, too. He attended Pat Wymore’s 85th birthday party and sat next to her. He has also visited Navy Island, and gained access to the the old Titchfield Hotel ruins and pools.
