I have a guilty pleasure of a wish that a Flynn in better shape could have stared in this 1958 classic film that is on Blu Ray and has more than a cult following since it is a Ray Harryhausen film. I love fantasy and science fiction and I think he would have been perfect in the role that Kerwin Mathews had. The only problem is that all his films were low budget back then and they would not have been able to afford Flynn. Anyway its fun to dream about it.

Yeah, tw, good thought. I’d say you’re likely right: The Mighty Flynn could have been great fun to see in high quality Harryheusen sci-fan adventure films. Only thing is, those Dynamation Skeleton Swordsmen got nothing on some of the natives Errol ran into in PNG. Would have been so cool to see EF take on those boneheaded barbarians:

This one somehow reminds me of Basil Rathbone. …. Curtiz would have probably loved using these more lethal, violent-looking swords
– especially with no safety tip coverings.
