      Woops, tw, I. guess that one Cuba Libre was one too many. I typed out on my cell a whole big introduction and tried to paste up four live photos, but I just couldn’t seem to get it into the post. So, all you got was the bar. The room where Churchill & FDR planned the invasion of Euope is missing, as well as the old casino & waterfront view. One of the few places Capone, FDR, The Vanderbilts & Rockefellers, Churchill, Flynn, DiMaggio, George Harrison, Mariah Carey & Bill Clinton have all hung out!

        Hi Tim:
        You must be sitting on the computer day and night – 24/7 – to come up with all those finds. Impressive!
        I read that you met Sean Flynn, so what’s the scoop about that. Any details?

          No, Tina. It’s in my front pocket! … I rarely get on anything but my cell these days, though for some specialized research I do use several university libraries. My son has my laptop!

          Regarding Sean Rio, I fortunately did have the opportunity to meet him – in Hollywood, on Thanksgiving Weekend last year, after watching him in Rumors. He was Great in it – real talent – excellent actor, handsome and superb sense of humor & timing. And what a terrific young man he is – an extremely smart, well-spoken, gracious & generous young man. What a tremendous credit to his Mom & Grandfather!!

              The Ruby Theater at The Complex, Tina – on Santa Monica Boulevard. I believe EFB-author zacal went a few days earlier, and (I was told by Sean, I believe) Rory Flynn was there, too – for Opening Night, possibly. It was really great seeing in any regard – but with Errol’s Grandson up on stage doing such a wonderful job, it was sublime to see. He has great talent and looks to be a star.

      I stuck to rum (“Bimini Tea” , as it was often called in the 20s & 30s in FLA) for this one, Lollie! Not only because I believe that’s what Errol most likely first and most often drank during his days at Cap’s, but also because Cap was a legendary rum-runner! Not too much Wodka wunning awound the Caribbean in those days!!

      It’s no coincidence, Lollie, that Cap’s Place was right near Capone Island, within minutes of each other. Capone Island was Scarface’s big bootlegging lair immediately south of Palm Beach County – bordering Boca Raton, where Errol stayed. The mob is still all over this area! Perhaps it’s the good fishing that brings them in:
