Mailbag: Lost Episodes of The ErrolFlynn Theatre!

07 Jul

Hi,

It may be of interest to your readers that a complete set of 35mm prints (including previously lost episodes) of The Errol Flynn Theatre have been discovered. Details here:

www.academia.edu…

Unfortunately, one of those involved with the discovery has commented that they are unlikely to see release as the rights holders cannot be traced.

Regards

Michael Cummins

Thank you for those details, Michael! Can’t wait to see all those treasures, which I’d bet the farm will be released – one way or another!

Here’s some very recent media coverage out of Belfast on this discovery:

BTW, Michael, are you the great Rafael Sabatini historian?!

So what are the odds we’ll see a DVD release? I’m still hoping to track down “The 1,000th Night of Don Juan.”

It was an option on iOffer at one point, and I (apparently foolishly) passed on that for another collection at the time, and now I can’t seem to track that one down.
