Here is a great website on the fabled Hollywood Racquet Club. Fortunately only a couple of outlying buildings burned. The Bamboo Lounge and restaurant are still intact.

I mentioned in my reply that I see Linda Christian, a protege of Errol’s on the site, and Paul tells me: “Flynn ‘discovered’ Linda in Acapulco and bought her to Hollywood where with the help and power of President Aléman, she was able to break into movies.”

There’s a lot more Paul could say!

    Thanks for the great info & links, Paul! You must have a bit of Flynn in ya’, with those three legendary beauties hangin’ with you!!! Linda, Jane & Daryn!!! Wow!

    Good to know the Bamboo’s still there. It’s on my list for a Blood Mary!

    P.S. I think those giant chess photos might have Gable & Tracy identified backwards. Charlie’s correct, though!
