          Yes, he was! This pic was taken in Stanley Park, Vancouver, Canada, at a spot that still exists. You can’t see it, but a hallway is behind the group leading to a race track and beyond it are the cricket fields where they played. The vine covered Sylvia Hotel is not far, where Errol stayed, and across the street from the hotel is English Bay where he would have no doubt visited. This is the same bay that he would have seen from the penthousr apartment at 1310 Burnaby Street on the day he sufferred his fatal heart attack October 14, 1959. Walking along the beach, that apartment is justa 14 minute walk via Beach Avenue and Burnaby Street. I’ve visited the playing fields, and made that stroll several times over the years.

              Hi Lollie;
              Sorry for not answering sooner but I forgot about it. Very sorry! There is so much going on on the blog it’s amazing, in particular the quiz with Dakota Fanning kept me busy. I never knew that “Ally” has so many meanings.
              But in regards to your guess – good guess – but it is not what i am looking for.

      Very sorry about my tardiness your quiz for Dakota kept me very busy and I forgot about my own. I search the internet high and low for answers but of no avail. Bette Davis’ husband was for me so close, but….

      In regards to my quiz you are very close but you are not quite there – keep trying for what I am looking.
      A clue for you it is in the title.

        I believe it must be “The White Rajah”, with ‘tight’ referring to Queenie’s” description of Errol’s outfit when she met him, Lili, and Lili’s cat up in Hollywood Hills.

        Here’s how Errol & Tiger Lil looked in those days. They didn’t call it Lookout Mountain for nothing.

          The greatest thing about these quizzes, Tina – at least from my perspective – is that they inspire exploration of things connected to Errol. Searching for the answer leads one to learn so much else, as it certainly has with your quiz. We now just about everything there is to know white, tight, elegant & British associated with Flynn!
