I have never seen this one before and its a big image too. Looks like they are filming and he is just off to the side. What do you think?

I went on Youtube inspired by the Lili film and found the short we have all seen on Catalina Island in color. Fast forwarded it and the shot with Cary Grant and Randolph Scott they have a ship on their table at about 4:20 in and I think its the same ship someone posted here weeks ago thinking it was a prop. Well I guess it is in a way. What do you guys think?

I don’t think its fair that you live in California and was able to visit his estate and grab that brick all the while I am stuck here in Michigan. Not fair at all buddy.

This item was already painted when it was purchased at a hobby shop and it varies with the paint job only from what I can see. I have to be careful with the sword as it is lead and bends easy. Sounds like the same time frame back in the 70’s.

Many years ago a guy on the Yahoo Groups site was looking for a group photo of MGM actors that had Flynn and Gable together. I don’t know why he was so interested but he felt it was very important or rare? I found this cropped photo and I am posting it. Its not the greatest since the original is most likely a large group photo.

Reynold Brown did the poster art and I found a site that has many posters on it. Some images are very good quality like the one here but the finished poster only came out in part either by mistake or on purpose. It is good enough that one could make their own and try to sell it. I like to collect images for myself so that one day I might make a poster for my wall but not to sell.

I received and watched my copy of The Roots Of Heaven on Blu Ray and enjoyed it. They did a pretty good job on the transfer and its nice to see Flynn in widescreen. However if you put his scenes back to back I am not sure it would be 15 minutes long. It should have been much more especially the scene where he talks about his problems during WWII and what happened to his men in that they stayed silent but he talked to save himself. It goes by so quickly you may miss the point if you didn’t already know about it from reading reviews like I have. It explains why he is such a mess and I wonder if it was like that because of Flynn’s condition of not being able to memorize he lines better? What a bummer. I know they had trouble from the heat but you would never know it from watching the film. They never once mention it and they don’t show anyone drinking water like they are suffering at all. They are not sweating that bad either unless they had 100 wardrobe changes during the takes. Juliette Greco is very sexy I must say. My favorite scenes with him are when they start getting down to business towards the end of the film when he acts more normal and not a drunken fool talking about his jumping bean. I wonder if they will put Istanbul on Blu Ray? That is another Cinemascope film.

Ever seen these photo's before?
I came across another great source of photos many of which I have never seen before, and that is saying alot. There is even a photo from "The Last Of Robin Hood" not seen before. At least I havn't seen it yet. Click the link to check them all out. Some of the images are samples of films in that they are a second or two long. This guy is a true fan.
