Hello,
I just discovered your blog.
I thought you’d like to know that an audio edition of my one-person stage play, FLYNN, is currently nearing the end of production and, if all goes well, should be available for download before the end of November via Audible, Amazon and iTunes. Sam Burns plays the role of Errol Flynn.
In the meantime, paperback and Kindle editions of the play are available via the link below.
Michael B. Druxman
Thanks, Michael!

Here’s part of an original script for Captain Blood. How do you think Errol did in his interpretation of the script? (See 1:50 – 2:22 of the TCM video linked below.) I’d say bloody magnificent.

Dear David,
It has been quite some time since we last had contact. You may remember me – the guy who was writing an epic poem on the life of Errol Flynn. Well, ten years in the making and I recently finished it. Now of course comes the real work, finding a publisher, but in the meantime I thought you might like to read the manuscript version. Book-length poems may not be your bag, but the Flynn aspect could still carry you through.
I see that the blog is flourishing. Back in 2009 you were kind enough to post some of my stanzas. So my impulse in contacting you now is not completely self-serving – I thought you might be curious to see how things turned out.
On 11 May I have a rearding from the poem at the renowned literary salon of Britta Gansebohm, with novelist/playwright Carey Harrison moderating:
Best Regards,
Kevin McAleer
Thanks, Kevin!

Given the Green Light by shangheinz on “Errorol”:
WHAT PROMINENT ENGLISH DOCTOR HELPED ERROL TREAT HIS SINUSES?
He was a “Harley Street” practitioner.
Early in his career, he pioneered and advocated the use of “truth drugs”.
He famously advocated one such drug in a French murder case.
Mid-career he was involved as an expert witness in a Hong Kong medical malpractice case.
He was later involved in a notorious British abortion/killing-of the-mother case.
He communicated from England to Errol elsewhere in Europe.
He had an indirect connection to the Profumo Affair.
Late in his career, he was quoted in Sports Illustrated concerning the abilities of women drivers.
He looked like this, but usually wore glasses during the years he treated Errol:

Was there a connection???
As Flynn in Florida research continues I quite unexpectedly came across this reported connection between Errol and one of Joe Kennedy’s early films. … leading one to wonder what happened to the rest of Errol’s reportedly “huge collection of silent films”? Any or all also at MoMA?
