Flynn Titles Broadcast Back to Back

Beginning at 6 a.m. on June 20, the always-terrific Turner Classic Movies will screen seven binge-worthy titles starring the late swashbuckling star Errol Flynn.

Dust off your DVR, put up your feet, and prepare to enjoy Flynn at the peak of his talents in these titles, as listed in Now Playing: A Viewer’s Guide to Turner Classic Movies:

“Rocky Mountain” (1950), with Flynn and Patricia Wymore in a frontier drama about a Confederate troop attempting to build an army in the West. (6 a.m.)

“The Master of Ballantrae” (1953), with Flynn and Roger Livesey in a story of a Scottish lord leading a rebellion against the British. (7:30 a.m.)

“Adventures of Don Juan” (1948), with Flynn and Viveca Lindfors in a favorite about the famous ladies man who saves his queen from treason. (9 a.m.)

“San Antonio” (1945), with Flynn and Alexis Smith in a frontier favorite with a reformed rustler tracking cattle thieves. (11 a.m.)

“They Died With Their Boots On” (1941), with Flynn and Olivia De Havilland in the romanticized story of Custer’s last stand. (1 p.m.)

“The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex” (1939), with Flynn and Bette Davis in a historical epic about how Elizabeth I faced the destruction of her kingdom due to her attraction to the Earl of Essex. (3:30 p.m.)

“Captain Blood” (1935), with Flynn, De Havilland and Basil Rathbone in a classic title (it ranks up there with “The Adventures of Robin Hood” in the Flynn top-title list) about a doctor who escapes from prison and becomes a pirate to survive. (5:30 p.m.)
